Comments: Reintroduced in 1888. The main threats for the indigenous trout Salmo trutta are the competition for the spawning grounds and the higher aggressiveness of the Rainbow trout. Since the entrance into force of the new Federal legislation on fishery (1.1.94), the introduction of species is restricted. Found in 39% of Swiss lakes and regarded as a common species (Ref. 79957).
